1. How to improve the students' reading ability
2. How to make the students understand the text better.
Teaching Difficult Points:
1. How to grasp the main idea of a paragraph.
2. How to guide the students to freely express the detailed information of the text.
Teaching Methods:
1. Questioning-and-answering activity to let the students get the detailed information in the text.
2. Fast -reading to let the students get the general idea of a paragraph.
3. Discussion.

Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Greeting (1')
Greet the whole class as usual.
Step 2 Revision and Lead-in (2’)
1. Revision.
2. Lead-in. Ask the students to look at the picture on the screen and let the students to guess the meaning of the word.
Step 3 Reading (16' )
1. Fast-reading. Ask the students to read each paragraph quickly and find the main idea of a paragraph.
2. Careful-reading. Ask the students to read each paragraph carefully and then answer the questions on the screen.
1) What can cellphones be used for?
2) What problems do cellphones cause?
3) Why do teenagers like cellphones so much?
Step 4 Discussion (16’)
Ask the students to tell what advantages and disadvantages of cellphones are.
Step 5 Do exercises (3’)
