Review and master the Passive Voice in different tenses.
Teaching Difficult Points:
Help the students master the way of changing sentences from the Active Voice into the Passive Voice and vice versa.
Teaching Methods:
1. Asking and answering to review the use of the Passive Voice.
2. Practice to help ss master the Passive Voice.
3. Individual work or pair work to make every student work in class.
Teaching Aids:
A projector and some slides, the blackboard.
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Greetings. 1’
Step 2 Lead-in 4’
Show a picture and talk about it using the Passive Voice.
Step 3 Grammar 10’
Compare two sentences on the screen.
Your little boy broke my window this morning.
My window was broken by your little boy.
Ask ss to tell the differences between them,in what condition we use the Passive Voice,what verb-forms are used in Passive Voice.
Then show a table to revise the verb-forms in different tenses.
Step 4 Practice 10’
Turn to Page 75,turn the sentences into the Passive Voice.
Step 5 Consolidation 10’
Find out the mistakes in each sentences and then correct it.And then do another exercise.
Step 6 Summary and Homework 5’
Show the form to remember the verb-form in each tense clearly and correctly.
